  • Inspiration

    I last visited San San Beach in February of 2016. Just east of San San is Jamaica’s famous ‘Blue Hole’, posthumously named ‘Blue Lagoon’. The road that leads to this protected cove of salt water and fresh water is still aptly named Blue Hole Road. I was terrified of swimming in this beautiful cove in my youth; the legend was that it was bottomless, and that a sea serpent inhabited it’s depths. In fact, the first time I swam in this dark indigo water was when I was 16 years of age. I instantaneously felt both bliss and serenity.
