Kaolin Clay

Kaolin clay is formed through a complex geological process that spans millions of years. It begins with the weathering and erosion of feldspar-rich rocks, such as granite and gneiss. Over time, these rocks break down into smaller particles, and the feldspar minerals within them undergo chemical alteration. This process, known as kaolinization, transforms feldspar into kaolin, a white clay mineral composed primarily of kaolinite. The resulting kaolin clay deposits are typically found in sedimentary layers. To extract kaolin clay, open-pit or underground mining methods are employed. The extracted clay is then processed to remove impurities and moisture, resulting in a fine white powder. It effectively cleanses the skin by absorbing excess oil and impurities without stripping away natural moisture. This mild clay helps to soothe irritation and redness, making it ideal for calming sensitive skin. Kaolin clay also possesses gentle exfoliating properties, helping to remove dead skin cells and promote a smoother complexion.
