Copaiba balsam resin is derived from copaiba tree. This resin is a sticky substance produced by the tree as a natural defense mechanism. To extract the resin, a small incision is made in the tree's trunk. The resin then oozes out and is collected. This raw resin is then subjected to steam distillation, a process that separates the oil components from the resinous matter. Its potent anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe irritated skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, reducing redness and inflammation. The oil's antimicrobial and antiseptic qualities can aid in combating acne-causing bacteria and preventing breakouts. Additionally, copaiba balsam is believed to promote wound healing and skin regeneration, contributing to a faster recovery from skin injuries.
